  • ¼ cup Fine Sea Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Celery Seed
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) (Optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Equipment

  • Dry measuring spoons
  • Dry measuring cups
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Wire whisk or fork
  • Funnel
  • Airtight glass spice jar (4 oz capacity)

Method

  1. Carefully measure out all of your dry spices, ensuring there are no large clumps in your garlic or onion powder before adding them to your prep station.
  2. Transfer the measured salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, celery seed, sugar, paprika, MSG, oregano, and cayenne pepper into a small, clean mixing bowl.
  3. Use a small wire whisk or a fork to thoroughly blend the ingredients together until the color is completely uniform and no pockets of individual spices remain.
  4. Place a small kitchen funnel into the mouth of your clean, dry glass spice jar and slowly pour the blended seasoning mixture inside.
  5. Securely fasten the lid onto your spice jar, give it one final shake to ensure complete distribution, and store it in a cool, dark pantry.
